Controls and interaction states

Understand how KOTÁMON changes the available actions while exploring, using the cart, inspecting an object, or viewing the collection.

← Guides

KOTÁMON presents actions by context rather than using one permanent command list. The labels below come from the game UI; the actual key or controller button depends on your bindings and device.

How it works

01

Read the current prompt

The same input can perform a different action when you move from the field to an inspection table or the collection screen.

02

Use field actions first

Looking, taking, holding, placing, dropping, opening, and entering cover most moment-to-moment exploration.

03

Treat special screens as separate modes

The cart, inspection table, and collection each expose a smaller set of actions designed for that task.

Reference data

These are localized action labels, not fixed key bindings. Check the current in-game prompt for the button assigned on your device.
